With the launch of Swahili fashion week tomorrow in Arusha, I can’t help but wish I could make it for the actual show in November. Will they smash last year’s show? Well, we are all waiting to see.

This year’s show is very special. I feel more excited about it because my friend, since the time of kombolela (hide and seek), is going to show her collection. I have seen Tina Zimba aka Kiki grow; from having her boutique at Mikocheni, Dar-es-salaam to becoming a fashion designer.
